Vbase welcomes aboard Christchurch Town Hall Manager

With preparations to open the Christchurch Town Hall in full swing, Vbase is excited to welcome Rebecca (Bex) De Prospo to the newly established role of Manager, Christchurch Town Hall.
Bex De Prospo comes to Vbase with more than 10 years’ experience in venue management and technical operations management within the performing arts and live events sectors.
“Bex’s appointment marks another milestone in the Christchurch Town Hall project. She will bring a wealth of knowledge to this exciting role” Chris Wallace, Vbase Acting General Manager, Events Services.
Her previous roles include Venue Manager for the Christchurch Arts Festival, Operations Coordinator for Performing Arts at Ara Institute of Canterbury and, prior to settling in Christchurch in 2013, as Venue Manager for the onsite technical team at Central Hall Westminster in London.
Initially working closely with a key establishment Project Group, when the building reopens next year De Prospo will play a lead role in ensuring a high standard of venue management and event delivery in this venue.
“It is an exciting time to come on board, and a privilege to be playing a key role, as we work to successfully re-establish this iconic venue back into the events industry.” Ms De Prospo says.
Christchurch Town Hall is a key venue in Vbase’s portfolio. With capacities ranging from 50 to 2250, there is already it’s looking to be a busy first year with a variety of events scheduled in the first six months, including national and international conferences, concerts, gala dinners and community events.
