First quarter of the year all done and dusted.
- 01 May 2017
Phew! The first quarter of the year is done and dusted. Looking back it’s fair to say we hit 2017 running and are still going! In the sporting worlds, the BlackCaps shared their summer schedule with Hagley Oval with two ODIs and a Test. The 2017 seasons are well underway for both the Crusaders at AMI Stadium and the Tactix home at Horncastle Arena.
Concert wise we've seen all sorts in the first four months from NZSO and CSO to, The Pixies, Don Henley, and the dynamic duo of Cyndi Lauper and Blondie. Of course, it's hard to ignore one of the best concerts we've had the privilege to host which saw Bruce Springsteen & The E Street Band saw over 30,000 guests rock AMI Stadium in February
In other events, St Andrew's celebrated their centenary in March transforming Horncastle Arena into a glamourous gala dinner for 1600 guests. The largest dinner we've hosted since 2009.
At Air Force Museum and Horncastle Arena we've welcomed back events such as the Canterbury Sports Awards, Christchurch Home Show and Armageddon Expo but we've also seen some new additions such at Ashy Bines boot camp! We've also been privileged to host seven beautiful weddings at ilex and two at Hadlee Pavilion.
Looking towards to the next few months, the variety continues with Christchurch Art Show, A cosmic perspective with Dr. Neil Degrasse Tyson, through to graduations and the annual Cancer Society Ball. The Crusaders continue their campaign with a special match against the Lions on 10 June, and we've even got another four weddings to look forward to.
As our saying goes, make life more eventful! See you at our venues this next quarter.
