Vbase are gearing up for the re-opening of the iconic Christchurch Town Hall.
- 28 April 2017
The Town Hall, with its rich cultural history and vibrant past, is a venue few can rival in Christchurch. This world-class performance venue is also a multi-functional conferencing facility and a dramatic venue for dinners, cocktail functions and special events.
With their internationally renowned acoustics, the Auditorium and smaller James Hay Theatre are perfect for large plenary sessions and keynote addresses. The stages in both theatres also offer dynamic and stunning settings for gala occasions.
The foyer, which separates the theatres, is as versatile as it is spacious and will act as the perfect space in which to host cocktail functions, exhibitions, or simply create a relaxed environment for delegates to mix and mingle. The venue boasts a number of breakout rooms, which also work as standalone spaces for smaller events. The Limes Room and the new purpose built function space (formerly Boaters Restaurant) will be fitted with electronic blinds making them both ideal rooms for day time presentations. The Conference Room will have a new soundproof dividing wall installed, increasing the number of breakout spaces available.
New technology will feature throughout the building including inbuilt projectors, screens and sound systems; as well as digital event and wayfinding signage.
Stepping through the front doors guests will be charmed with a feeling of warm nostalgia, while also taking in the new contemporary elements that the venue will offer.
Vbase are looking forward to welcoming guests, new and returning, to the Town Hall and offering event organisers a purpose built conferencing option in Christchurch once more.
Preliminary information is now available on the Vbase website and our sales team are available to talk through the offering in more detail. We are currently taking enquiries for events from early 2019 and are eager to hear from those who may be interested in this venue.
