Before the music sensation was set to play to a sold-out crowd at Vbase’s Horncastle Arena, the Christchurch event and venue company engineered a surprise performance for its valued client, Conference Innovators.

Vbase Sales and Marketing Manager, Janelle Brooking says their mission is to bring exceptional ideas to life.

“Our mantra is ‘we make life more eventful’ and we wanted to show this in action, and share the fun with a wider audience by capturing it on video. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=npiMAOY_nf4

“We knew a VIP experience to see Ed Sheeran would be the perfect treat,” she says.

“Instead of sending an invitation, we thought why not take a little taste of Ed to the whole Conference Innovators team? In fact it was Tracey Thomas, their Managing Director who helped us think outside the box on this.”

Janelle and Vbase National Business Development Manager, Catherine Lee went on the hunt for an Ed look-and-sound-alike, and surprised Conference Innovators at their Christchurch office with an impromptu, intimate concert by local duo Assembly Required.

“Here we broke the news they were also going to see the real Ed, in style.  The expressions on their faces said it all.”

Vbase laid on red carpet treatment for the team of 10 from Conference Innovators, who left with incredible memories of Ed's concert on 8 April.

“‘Make life more eventful’ is more than just a slogan for Vbase. We live and breathe it every day. Through our diverse portfolio of venues and events we have an amazing toolkit of ideas waiting to be unleashed.”

Vbase is promising to share more surprise moments on video in the coming months. Follow them on Facebook https://www.facebook.com/VBaseChCh and check out www.vbase.co.nz
