Built in 1998 this striking facility is one of New Zealand's largest purpose-built indoor sporting, entertainment and event venues. When it is not playing host to sporting teams or world renowned artists, CBS Canterbury Arena hosts exhibitions, trade shows, special events and gala dinners.

The Arena has 4000 sqm of flat floor space, with generous back of house facilities and additional space available in the concourse areas. The size and versatility of CBS Canterbury Arena means it can host and deliver outstanding experiences for up to 2500 guests.

The newest addition to this venue, The Tuck Shop Café, provides a daily serving of café and bistro styled food in a lively atmosphere and offers an array of comfortable spaces for breakfast meetings. Outside normal hours the cafe can transform into the perfect space for cocktail functions and other special occasions.

The generous space indoors is complemented by eighteen corporate suites which are available for hosting intimate gatherings at ticketed events. There is also extensive parking for up to 3000 vehicles.  All this makes CBS Canterbury Arena one of the most accessible venues to meet in Christchurch.
