Conditions of Entry

GENERAL INFORMATION

AMI Stadium is owned and operated by Vbase Ltd.

Entry to the Stadium is subject to these Conditions of Entry and any additional conditions, rules or regulations of the Event owner and/or promoter (NZRU, CRFU, NZCricket, Canterbury Cricket or any other event owner and/or promoter).

"Stadium" means AMI Stadium including all surrounding areas owned, occupied or utilised by AMI Stadium.

"Event" means any event taking place at the Stadium.

 

  1. Entry and right to remain within the Stadium (notwithstanding possession of any ticket) is at the absolute discretion of Vbase staff, its authorised agents or any police officer.
  2. Patrons may be refused entry to the Stadium if they:
    are not in possession of a valid ticket or pass;
    are the subject of a current trespass order;
    attempt to bring in prohibited items (see below for a full list of these items);
    appear intoxicated or under the influence of drugs, or otherwise behave in a disorderly manner;
    or fail to comply with security or gate staff requests, including submission to a search.
  3. All persons seeking entrance to the Stadium (whether on foot or in a vehicle) may be subject to searches of their person, belongings or vehicle before entering the Stadium and may be subject to further searches during an Event and when leaving the Stadium. Vbase may refuse entry to or evict from the Stadium any person refusing to submit to such a search. Vbase may confiscate any prohibited items brought into the Stadium.
  4. Threatening, abusive or violent behaviour, including throwing items into the air or onto the pitch, foul or abusive language, discriminatory abuse or harassment is unacceptable and will result in eviction from the Stadium and/or arrest. Vbase may impose a trespass order preventing entry to the Stadium on any person for breach of any of these Conditions of Entry.
  5. Causing damage to, or interfering or tampering with any equipment, furniture, fitting or fixture within the Stadium will result in eviction from the Stadium and/or arrest. Anyone causing damage to the Stadium will be liable for the full cost of repair.
  6. All persons entering the Stadium must be appropriately dressed. The right of admittance is reserved to Stadium staff and in particular no person with:
    bare feet;
    or clothing containing offensive messages [or gang patches];
    or an inappropriate costume,
    will be permitted entry to the Stadium. The decision of the Stadium staff will be final.
  7. All persons entering the Stadium must occupy the seat allocated to them on their ticket and must not move from any one part of the Stadium to another without the express permission or instruction of any Stadium host, security officer and/or any police officer.
  8. Persistent standing in seated areas, use of umbrellas or cell phones during an Event affects other guests and may result in eviction from the Stadium. Radios, CDs and TVs may only be used with earphones.
  9. No person may enter the playing arena before, during or after Events, unless access is expressly permitted by Stadium staff. Breach of this Condition of Entry will result in eviction from the Stadium and/or arrest.
  10. No person may bring into the Stadium any commercial food and/or catering from outside companies. Any such food will be confiscated. 
  11. No person may bring into the Stadium or use within the Stadium any equipment which is capable of recording or transmitting (by digital or other means) any audio, visual or audio-visual material or any information or data in relation to the Event or the Stadium. Copyright in any unauthorised recording or transmission is assigned (by way of present assignment of future copyright pursuant to section the Copyright Act 1994).
  12. No goods (including literature) of any nature may be offered either free or for sale by any person within the Stadium without the express written permission of Vbase.
  13. No sponsorship, promotional or marketing material may be brought into, used or displayed by any person within the Stadium without the express written permission of Vbase or the Event owner and/or promoter.
  14. No warranties are given by Vbase that an Event will take place at a particular time or on a particular date. Any changes to an Event schedule are at the discretion of the Event owner and/or promoter who may reschedule without notice and without any liability to any patron whatsoever.
  15. In the event of the postponement or abandonment of the Event, refunds (if any) should be claimed in accordance with the relevant Event owner and/or promoter's ticket terms and conditions (or AMI Stadium Membership terms and conditions).
  16. In the event of the postponement or abandonment of an Event, Vbase will have no liability to any patron whatsoever, including (but not limited to) any indirect or consequential loss or damage, such as (but not limited to) loss of enjoyment or travel costs.
  17. Vbase's liability for loss, injury or damage to any person/property in or around the Stadium is limited to the maximum extent permitted by law.

 

HEALTH, SAFETY AND SECURITY

  1. The obstruction of gangways, access ways, exits and entrances, stairways and like places is strictly prohibited. Nobody entering the Stadium will be permitted to climb any structures within the Stadium.
  2. Smoking at the Stadium is limited to dedicated Smoking areas and non compliance will result in eviction from the Stadium.
  3. Vbase has an emergency management plan in place ready for implementation at the Stadium in the unlikely event of a major emergency. The system is designed to provide best protection for all guests. Instructions will be broadcast over the video replay screen, over the public address system and from Vbase personnel.
  4. CCTV cameras are in use in and around the Stadium and the Stadium may itself use, or pass to the police or any Event owner and/or promoter or other relevant authority, any recordings for use in any proceedings.
  5. Responsibility for minors (children aged under 14) remains at all times with a parent or guardian.
  6. Vbase and its representatives will take no responsibility for confiscated items or personal items brought into the Stadium.

 

ALCOHOL POLICY

The responsible serving of alcohol is an issue taken very seriously by Vbase. In accordance with our host responsibilities under the Sale of Liquor Act:

  • Liquor will not be served to minors (persons under 18 years) and intoxicated persons.
  • Attempting to enter the Stadium or being inside the Stadium whilst drunk will result in eviction.
  • Attempting to bring any alcohol or any illegal substances into the Stadium will result in eviction.
  • Being in possession of any bottle, can or other portable container and which could cause damage or personal injury when entering the Stadium or in a public area of the Stadium from which the event can be directly viewed will result in eviction.

  • Skateboards
  • Scooters
  • Anything that could be used as a weapon or appears to look like a weapon
  • Dangerous Goods
  • Soft Drink containers 1 litre and over
  • Gang patches
  • Offensive signs or banners
  • Prams, strollers, pushchairs
  • Illicit drugs
  • Recording devices for commercial purposes
