Taxi Stands

Blue Star Taxi are the official taxi supplier of AMI Stadium. A taxi rank is located at Gate Q, at the back of the PKMC Stand. New Blue Star Rank at the back of the Shell Station 515 Moorhouse Ave, operational on event days only for your convenience. If you are requiring a taxi to AMI Stadium, it is advisable to book it well in advance, especially if a van is required.

There are also a number of unofficial areas around the perimeter of AMI Stadium where taxis are available and convenient to patrons of AMI Stadium.

They are located in the following areas:

  • Western side of Lancaster Street approximately 50 metres from Stevens Street in a northerly direction.
  • Southern side of Moorhouse Avenue west of Lancaster Street.
  • Along Wilsons Road back of Deans Stand.
  • Along Stevens Street, outside the Hadlee Stand once roads have been opened up to vehicles (approximately 15-30 minutes after an event).

Bus Routes

  • Route Traveling in from either Roydvale/Wairakei or Sumner and travels down Ferry Rd. The closest stop to AMI Stadium for this bus route is by the intersection of Ferry Rd, Mathesons Road and Barbour Street. (See Red Bus for more information)

 

TAB

TAB

The only Stadium in New Zealand to have a TAB on site with full sports betting facilities available. Situated between doors 29 & 30, level one concourse, int the PKMC Stand, this is accessible to all patrons.

 

Road Closures

Road Closures

The Traffic Management Plan implemented by the Christchurch City Council authorises road closures to assist the safety of our patrons as they arrive and depart from the Stadium. A schedule of the road closures is published in The Press every Wednesday prior to an event at AMI Stadium.

Please note there is no fixed time of when the roads will be re-opened once an event is finished, this is determined on the day/night by the Site Traffic Management Supervisor.

 

Wheelchair Facilities & Access

Wheelchair Facilities & Access

General Public Tickets and facilities for spectators in wheelchairs are located in the Deans Stand, PKMC Stand and Tui Stands. Corporate Areas within in the Hadlee Stand, Deans Stand and PKMC Stand both have wheelchair access and facilities.

Best access for the PKMC Stand is via the ramp at Gate N or through the driveway alongside Gate A, both entrances lead to the lifts.

Best access to the Deans Stand is via Gate H.

Best access to the Tui Stand is via the ramp at Gate N.

The Council marks temporary Disability Car Parks for the public along Stevens Street.
Valid Disability Pass must be on display or your vehicle will be towed.

 

Lost Property

Lost Property
  • If you have lost something, please report it to AMI Stadium's reception providing a description of the item and your contact details. We also recommend to report the lost item with the Police.
  • Any lost property found is to be handed to a security guard or to the AMI Stadium reception. If unclaimed after 3 months it will be donated to a charity at AMI Stadium's discretion.
  • AMI Stadium accepts no responsibility for an item lost or found whilst attending an event at AMI Stadium.
